"This excellent book is obviously written by someone who loves and lives with tea. The author provides a broad stroke history of tea and then begins to focus on particulars, with a special focus on the great Chinese teas (I had no idea how great until using this book as a point of departure). Very useful details on the selection of teas, the various methods of preparing tea (the Gaiwan and Gongfu methods), the importance of using the right water and the importance of brewing temperature/time are provided with enough detail to enable the novice to start enjoying this amazingly nuanced beverage. Did I mention that the book also reads well? I have read nearly everything in print (in English) and a bit that isn't about tea and I keep returning to Mr. Pratt's book for its concise and in depth insights." Perkins

“…probably the best single book on tea available on the market. It is a slim volume that instructs both novice and connoisseur alike. Written in an entertaining, discussive style with enough common sense knowledge and practicality to be a beginner’s guide, it is filled with anecdotes and history enough to make a connoisseur proud. Norwood Pratt’s New Treasury is probably the only book on tea you need, if you want only one."

Reading List
So many great books, so little time, so why read books that don't help? Here's my recommended book list to better develop your professional tea business offered through Amazon. And yes, I have read ALL of these books! Only books that I own, have read, and think are worth the investment of time and money are included. So, it is a relatively long list that is part of the reference libary for Tea Business School.
